What is Your Passion

Passion

What is my Passion? Being a good person, and being true to myself. I have many talents, one of which is cooking, but I wouldn’t call it a passion. Although I am passionate about eating healthy and using food to keep me healthy.

I’m still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. My biggest passion is trying to figure what we are doing here. What is this planet, life, illusion all about.

I was born and raised in the Episcopal church. It’s what Episcopalians call being a cradle Episcopalian. When I was a teenager, I had a hard time reconciling what the church was teaching and what I was witnessing in the world. I knew there had to be more.
So, I started my personal search. I read Edgar Casey, and reincarnation made sense to me. I grew up before personal computers were a household item, and our encyclopedia was The Book of Knowledge. Yearly we received a year book from them, and that’s where I discovered Darwin, and evolution. That made sense to me. So over the years I have been on my personal quest to find out what the Truth is, and what makes sense to me. I have learned to listen to my heart.

listen-to-your-heart-it-knows-everything_largeI’m sure you have heard the question, “are you religious, or are you spiritual?” I’m one of those people who falls into the spiritual category. I guess you could call me an Episcopal Buddhist. I believe that God didn’t stop speaking to us 2,000 years ago, that God still speaks to us. I believe The Bible is a book of wonderful stories that have been interpreted and reinterpreted over many years.

BookshelfThe book that I choose to live by is A Course in Miracles. I don’t believe that any one book has ALL the answers, but if we are not closed to new possibilities we can find answers in many sources out there. I have a complete bookshelf dedicated to just that. And that doesn’t include books that I have borrowed, and read or read before I started collecting, or even the books that I have on my Nook eReader. So, I guess you can say that my passion is the quest for finding out the meaning of life.

Right now my passion is this Web site and blog. Finding like minded people like you, who are also out on a quest. Starting a discussion. Being open.

The main things that I know are True:

  • Truth never changes
  • True Love is unconditional
  • Forgiveness heals heart break
  • The past is over never to be repeated, and the future isn’t here yet, there is only Now.
  • Be open to all possibilities, if you don’t have any expectations, you won’t have any disappointments
  • Giving is the same as receiving, the more you give, the more you have
  • Don’t judge another person, you don’t know their story
  • Be true to yourself, don’t live for another person, let them live for themselves

So, my question to you is, “what is your passion?”
