Living in the moment

Something I have come to know is that time really does not exist. We think time is linear, yesterday, today, tomorrow, or last month, this month, next . . .

But, there really is only one moment in time, and that time is the Now.

So many of us spend way too much time worrying about what is going to happen when statistically only 90 percent of what you worry about never happens. When you don’t live in fear, you have nothing to worry about. When you don’t have any expectations, you will never be disappointed, so why worry.

Worrying does not take away tomorrow’s troubles: It takes away t

The other side of that coin is thinking about what you could have done differently yesterday, causing guilt about your wouda, shouda, couda’s. I would have done that had I known better, I should have done that instead of what I did, I could have done that differently. Well let me tell you something. What you did, or what happened is done and over with. There is not one darn thing you can do about it now, so stop thinking about it, and start living today.

Living in the Now is so much better. Each moment is a precious gift and should be cherished. I’m really not telling you anything you don’t already know, so quit beating yourself up about yesterday, stop thinking about what is going to happen tomorrow, and be thankful for this glorious day.
