I’m not one for waste. I believe in using as much of an item as I possibly can. So when I buy a whole chicken, I use it all. Continue reading Chicken Livers and Mushrooms
It’s such a simple concept really. There was a bumper sticker that was popular in the 90s, “Practice random acts of kindness, and senseless acts of beauty.” I have always loved that saying. Continue reading Kindness
I was at a Salon this past weekend, where about twelve of us gathered for some lively conversation. The nice thing about this particular Salon is that we are all like minded. One of my friends said, “Be yourself, not what the world wants you to be.” I thought this quote was apt, and fit into my authenticity theme, Who Are You? Continue reading Be Yourself
I just want you to know I miss my brother terribly. He had me so spoiled. He was the chief cook and bottle washer when he lived with me for three years. And boy, could he cook. I am a recipe girl myself, but my brother, Allen, could look in the refrigerator, pantry and/or freezer and come up with ideas in his head that would turn into fabulous restaurant quality meals. I am big wing nut (pun intended), and I’ve discovered these Paleo friendly Middle Eastern Wings. I’ve made them twice now, and anyone who knows me, knows I rarely make the same thing twice unless it is really, really good. The sauce can be used on chicken thighs and breasts too.
I have been gone for the last two weeks traveling. First I went to Boulder, Colorado to visit friends for Thanksgiving, and then I went to Beverly, Massachusetts for business. All of that was complicated with a cold. I haven’t had one of those in about three years. But, I am lucky in that I believe I don’t have to be a slave to viruses, and I was able to shoo that cold away in five days instead of the normal two weeks. Continue reading I Have Been Gone for Two Weeks, but I’m Back!

This is what I had for dinner last night. I love Indian food, so it was only fitting after watching Awake to eat Indian. Click on the pictures for the recipes. Below is my take on it, and it was awesomely delicious. I served it with cauliflower rice.
If you don’t have the spice blends on hand then you can make your own, which is what I did.
