About ten years ago I read a series of books that totally changed my life. It is sad to say that the author allowed his ego to take over, and he is serving time in jail for embellishing his claims. I know St. Patrick’s day was a couple of days ago, but once again I impressed my guests with a traditional St. Patrick’s Day dinner, Paleo style. Nobody missed the potatoes or the soda bread filled with massive amounts of gluten.
- Homemade brined brisket turned Corned Beef
- Cabbage (simply steam for 30 minutes, butter and salt and pepper—Don’t mess with it if you want the best cabbage ever)
- Root Vegetable Colcannon
- Irish Soda Bread (gluten free)
- Salad (provided by one of my guests)
- St. Patrick’s Day Cup Cakes
Here are some organic ingredients you can use in this recipe. For me a double boiler is a must have. It was the first cooking pot I purchased when I first started equipping my kitchen when I was in my early twenties.
This past weekend I made a birthday dinner for two very special friends of mine. Neither of them are on the Paleo lifestyle, but I am, and I cooked them a much raved over Paleo dinner. The dinner was a massive success with everyone very satisfied, and no one feeling bloated at the end of the meal.

- Cauliflower Cake (using a Paleo flour blend instead of the all purpose flour called for in the recipe
- Fluffy Bread
- Apple Pie Parfait
