Without Fear There Are No Limits

I live without fear. Do you?

I have been on a spiritual quest since my teens. And because of this I have a library of spiritual books. One of the themes, and there is more than one, is that Love and fear are opposites. When you live in Love, there is no fear. Continue reading Without Fear There Are No Limits

Be the Light of the World

What I love about my friends is that we can have a lively conversation during dinner. I was invited, along with two other of my single, female friends, for a Valentine’s Day dinner. A potluck that was delicious with the hit being the apple pie parfait I made for dessert. The recipe for this is at the end of this post. Continue reading Be the Light of the World

Who Do You See

. . . when you look in the mirror? I see my best friend. Are you your own best friend? Or do you need someone else to validate you? It took me a long time to realize I didn’t need another person to make me whole. I am whole. You are whole. As One, We are whole. We are Holy One.

Who Do You See

two-women-standing-talking. . . when you look at another person? Do you know that what you see in another person is a reflection of yourself? So if a person irritates you for any reason, look at yourself, and see if what irritates you in that person is something you have a tendency to do that you aren’t so proud of. The flip side of that coin is if you see beauty in another person then you see the same beauty in yourself. So, I ask you, wouldn’t you rather see the good in every one? It’s Not Just a Phone Anymore

I just want you to know I miss my brother terribly. He had me so spoiled. He was the chief cook and bottle washer when he lived with me for three years. And boy, could he cook. I am a recipe girl myself, but my brother, Allen, could look in the refrigerator, pantry and/or freezer and come up with ideas in his head that would turn into fabulous restaurant quality meals. Immortality—Conclusion of the Series

So, this brings me to the question of do you have a fear of death, or as I like to put it, the leaving of your body? Have you noticed how many people say of someone who has left his or her body, that they have “passed” on, away, or just “passed.” No one dies anymore. And that begs the question, why do we go to all the trouble of trying to stay alive through medical means? Continue reading Immortality—Conclusion of the Series

Just as a note: When I started writing this, I realized that each paragraph could be expanded upon, so this subject matter is going to be a series.

Do you believe in immortality? I do. I believe we are all immortal. We just don’t always live in the current bodies we have. I believe in the immortality of the soul. Continue reading Immortality

Salisbury Steak

Swanson's Salisbury Steak copyClick title or image for recipe.

Remember this? I was trying to figure out something different to do with my ground bison yesterday, and I came across this Salisbury steak recipe. I literally have not had Salisbury steak since the 60s when it came in this tray, maybe? Well this recipe looked great, so I adapted it to my bison (I rarely eat ground beef anymore, bison just tastes better). It was delicious. I had some zucchini on hand and made these fried zucchini chips.
